That day EA-6B Prowler airplane, while flying at a very low altitude from the nearby US airforce base, cut the bearer cable of the local cable car.

The car with twenty passengers crashed against the ground. None of the skiers survived.
Among the casualties there were two Polish citizens: Ms Ewa Strzelczyk - the manager of the Musical Theater in Gliwice, and her son Filip.
We helped with their repatriation to Poland.

Ms Ewa Strzelczyk, a great social contributor, founder of the Foundation for the Reconstruction of the Municipal Theater in Gliwice. It was her passion that helped revitalize  the war-damaged theater where Gliwickie Theater Meetings continue to be arranged up to this day and where the cultural life of the city thrives.
